From the beautiful surroundings of Cusco, you cannot miss what has become the emblem of Peru, the famous Machu Picchu. It is one of the seven new wonders of the world and without a doubt the most spectacular site that the Inca empire has left us. With private transportation to Ollantaytambo, you can get to know the prestigious train that will take you along a beautiful route to Aguas Calientes. From here, two options await you: take the tourist bus that takes you about thirty minutes to get to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu or dare to walk up the 400m Incan stairway. The tour of the archaeological site will take about 2-3 hours, which includes not only the site but also the history of the prestigious Inca city.

It includes a large agricultural part with the traditional terraces that allow cultivating even with significant slopes and heavy rains, which are not to be confused with the narrower containment platforms. Separated by a 400m wall is the urban area: there you will see the mythical ruins of the Temple of the Sun, the Royal Residence, the Sacred Square, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Main Temple, the Intihuatana hill and the numerous homes, rooms and sets. Depending on how you feel, you can also ascend to Montana Picchu or Huayna Picchu, an effort rewarded by a spectacular panorama over the valleys and obviously the whole of Machu Picchu.
